Why Re-Accreditation Is Required

Drug and alcohol testing in workplaces—particularly in safety-critical industries
such as mining, transport, construction, and aviation
—must follow strict collection and documentation procedures.

If procedures are not followed correctly, test results may be challenged or ruled invalid in legal proceedings.

Re-accreditation ensures collectors:

  • Follow chain of custody requirements
  • Remain compliant with Australian Standards

This training aligns with Australian Standards AS/NZS 4308:2023 and AS/NZS 4760:2019, ensuring specimen collection procedures meet workplace compliance and chain-of-custody requirements.
