Product Benefits
Designed for Simplicity and Convenience
Fast sample collection without requiring dedicated facilities. A saliva sample is taken using the swab, which is then inserted into the testing device and sealed. The collected fluid moves through the internal test strips, enabling reliable and efficient detection of substances.
Minimal Saliva Required
Integrating 6 drugs on 2 drug test strips means a lot less saliva is required than standard drug tests. This ensures a faster collection time and more rapid results.
Facilitating reliable and efficient detection of substances in the workplace.
Specimen Integrity is Preserved
Sample integrity is maintained by limiting handling and environmental exposure. Ongoing visibility of the drug test specimen during collection helps reduce the risk of contamination or tampering.
Designed for Australian Workplaces
Drug panels and screening cut-off levels are configured specifically for Australian market. The selected drug groups and cut-off levels help ensure on-site results closely match laboratory confirmations.

Minimal saliva required
Combining 6 drugs on 2 test strips reduces the volume of saliva required for a successful drug test results.
Tests for Current Impairment
Identify whether your employees are currently under the influence of drugs. Detects up to the last 12 hours of drug use.
Separate Collector and Test Chamber
Enables collection of the specimen independently from the test chamber to prevent donor handling.
Removable Privacy Strip
The removable privacy strip ensures the test results are not revealed until the collector is ready.
More comfortable & Less intrusive
Collect saliva easily from the donor by swabbing their mouth. No toilet facilities required - test in any private room at any time.

How the test works:
- Open the package
- Swab the mouth for approx.3 minutes until the saturation indicator activates
- Insert the collection swab into test chamber and screw down the lid to activate the test
- Read the results once both Control lines appear
Drugs Detected:
- AMP 50 ng/mL (Amphetamine)
- MET 50 ng/mL (Methamphetamine)
- COC 50 ng/mL (Cocaine)
- OPI 50 ng/mL (Opiates)
- OXY 40 ng/mL(Oxycodone)
- THC Parent 15 ng/mL (Marijuana)
Interpretation of Test Lines
The ‘presence’ of the Test line and Control line indicates a negative drug test result.
The ‘absence’ of the Test line and presence of only the Control line indicates a presumptive positive drug test result (non-negative).
If a Control line fails to appear the drug test result is invalid and the test will need to be repeated.

PRODUCT COMPARISON
Onsite 6 Drug Saliva Test Options
All 3 tests include all drug groups required under AS/NZS4760:2019.
The Saliva Swipe 6 Advanced version is a all-in-one test which automatically transfers the saliva from the collector to the test strips, thus making testing quicker.
The Saliva Check 6 Advanced utilises the same type of test strips where there are multiple drugs on each strip - less saliva is required. It has a collection stick with saturation indicator. Once saturated insert into the test chamber and results appear.
The Oral 6 Advanced uses a collection stick but requires more saliva because each drug group is on a separate test strip. Interpretation may be easier for some with this version.

Collection Method:
Saliva Testing: Involves swabbing the mouth, which is non-invasive and can be conducted quickly under direct supervision.
Urine Testing: Requires the donor to provide a urine sample in a controlled environment, which may involve more complex collection protocols to ensure sample integrity.
Detection Window:
Saliva Testing: Generally detects recent drug use, typically within a few hours up to a day, making it useful for identifying current impairment.
Urine Testing: Can detect drug metabolites for several days after use, offering a broader window for identifying past substance use.
Risk of Adulteration:
Saliva Testing: The collection process is more easily supervised, reducing the risk of sample adulteration.
Urine Testing: Although often observed, urine samples can be more susceptible to tampering or adulteration if proper protocols are not followed.
Each method has its advantages depending on the specific requirements of the testing program, such as the need for rapid on-site results or a longer detection period.
Yes, it is highly recommended that your company has a clear and well-documented drug and alcohol policy before testing employees. Here’s why:
1. Legal Compliance
A policy ensures that drug and alcohol testing aligns with workplace laws, privacy regulations, and industry standards. In Australia, workplace drug testing must comply with Fair Work Act provisions and relevant work health and safety (WHS) laws.
2. Employee Awareness & Fairness
A formal policy informs employees about testing procedures, expectations, and consequences of positive results.
It prevents disputes by ensuring consistency and transparency in testing practices.
3. Protects Against Legal Challenges
Without a policy, employees may challenge test results, disciplinary actions, or termination decisions.
A well-structured policy helps defend the company against unfair dismissal claims.
4. Defines Testing Procedures
Specifies who, when, and how testing will be conducted (e.g., pre-employment, random, post-incident).
Outlines the types of tests used (saliva, urine) and the handling of results.
5. Supports a Safe & Productive Workplace
Reinforces a commitment to safety, reducing risks of accidents caused by impairment.
Encourages a culture of accountability and responsibility among employees.
You must designate an employee at your workplace to be trained as a 'Collector.' This individual must complete the Nationally Accredited Course HLTPAT010 – Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing, which involves 5-6 hours of training through distance or online study. Onsite Diagnostics Pty Ltd (RTO#91700) is a Registered Training Organisation that offers this course and provides continual support after completion of the course.
Note: Australian Standards 4760:2019 & 4308:2023 state that the collector must have successfully completed a course of instruction in compliance with these Standards and received a Statement of Attainment in accordance with the Australian Quality Training Framework.

Drug tests should be stored properly to ensure their accuracy and longevity. Follow these guidelines:
- Temperature: Store at room temperature (2°C – 30°C). Avoid extreme heat or cold.
- Humidity: Keep in a dry environment, away from moisture or humidity.
- Light Exposure: Store away from direct sunlight to prevent degradation.
- Sealing: Keep test kits sealed in their original packaging until use to maintain integrity.
- Expiration Check: Regularly check expiration dates and avoid using expired tests.
- Secure Storage: Store in a secure location to prevent tampering or unauthorised access.
Yes, if you receive a non-negative drug test result in Australia, the specimen should be sent to a National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA)-accredited laboratory for confirmatory testing. This ensures accurate and legally defensible results through Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) or Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) analysis.
Your workplace drug and alcohol policy should outline the correct procedure for handling non-negative results, including chain-of-custody protocols to maintain sample integrity. If you need assistance with laboratory referrals, please contact us on 1300 667 107.
